Dorset Doddle
2007 Results (19th August)
On August the 19th Dave Lewis and I did the above event. A 32 mile run
which sets off from Weymouth at 9.00 am and ends at Swanage, running
completely along the coastal footpath, taking in Osmington, Ringstead Bay,
Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Kimmeridge, etc. until we reached Swanage -
which in our case was 7 1/2 hours later. With very little instructions,
apart from," keep the sea on your right", no marshals and drinks stations
about every 5 miles. We had a fantastic if rather tiring day, and the event
is one of my top 3 marathons, along with Beachy Head and The Needles cross
country marathon.
