This is the most informal race ever for a token
£1. There are huge trophies to be won - if you
can run that fast.
11.30am start from the Village Hall.
It is not an 'official race' as such so there are no medals and official marshals are few, and probably no race insurance etc. The locals are very friendly. It is very scenic, taking in part of the Tunbridge
Wells half marathon route, undulating, and last year it was EXTREMELY MUDDY. We change then go off and have a pub lunch afterwards.
No website unfortunately!
You can turn up and pay your pound on the day, just make sure to be there in plenty of time as the race is becoming more popular.
You get a number but no time is taken.
The event is well organised and marshalled, the roads are also closed off by the locals for the start.
In 2007, some ten Road Runners went along to
this and had great time.
