Rules

This competition is based upon local races and is based upon comparisons between personal achievements NOT the fastest runners in the club.  It starts with the Darent Valley 10k in May 2007 (usually April) and runs throughout the year with awards presented at the annual dinner in May 2008.

Awards will be presented based upon:

1) how well individuals improve against their best 2006/7 ORR 10k handicap time and
2) how they compare against “best for age/sex” (WAVA score).

Awards

Awards will be presented in three categories:
A) SHORT COMPETITION

Your fastest 5 Miler from the list,
plus two of your fastest 10k from the list (the Sevenoaks 7 counts a "10k")

...making three races in total
B) LONG COMPETITION

Your fastest 10 Mile race and
your fastest Half Marathon from the list

...making two races in total

YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR AN AWARD IN ONLY ONE OF THE ABOVE TWO CATEGORIES, THE CHOICE OF WHICH WILL BE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE GRAND PRIX ADMINISTRATOR.

C) CUMULATIVE COMPETITION

Simply the highest total of either Handicap or WAVA scores, which usually means the person who enters the most races available in the Grand Prix.  SHORT & LONG COMPETITION WINNERS WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THESE AWARDS.
