Since 1998, the Orpington 10k has been the highlight of our running club's calendar and has over the years raised many thousands of pounds for Darrick Wood school. This year, we are recognising the support given by Michael Turner of Travel & Medical Insurance Services Ltd since 2005. Sadly, Michael - a parent and former pupil of Darrick Wood School - passed away in 2007 and so the 2008 race has been named in his memory.

Consolidated results:

Prior to 1998, Orpington Road Runners coordinated a 10k route starting at Goddington Park. held every year from 1990 to 1995. There is even knowledge of an Orpington Ten, ran at some point in the 1950s!  Not surprisingly, we don't have records going back that far but if you have any recollection of these, please contact us so that we can reflect this part of our local running heritage!

Official 10k Race Photography

We are delighted to welcome back the services of Martin Lewis, of ProSport Photos, who has supported our race for a number of years. Martin and his team are dedicated to providing professional quality sports photography with informal pre- and post- event services, capturing both individual participants and the general atmosphere. Don't forget to check out his website in the days following the race to pick up your copy of your part of the race experience!
