We keep all our own photos from club events and races on Flickr.

You can upload your photos to our Flickr photo site using these basic instructions

How to upload your pictures directly to the ORR Flickr Website (which is accessed at http://www.flickr.com/orpingtonroadrunners)

1. Prepare all your photos in your local editor, correcting for thumbs and wonky angles

2. E-mail them to lost71hot@photos.flickr.com

Make the TITLE what you want the title of the photo to be in Flickr - e.g. "2008-06 Orpington 10k" [Flickr takes this and makes it the title of the photo]
In the BODY of the E-Mail, put (and only put) the following text, [which will automatically populate the description area of the photo on Flickr]:

Photos By: <insert>
Name of Event: <event>
Date: <date>
In Shot(s): <names>
Upload By: <your>

Uploading Multiple Photos
We've found in recent experience that Flickr takes the first 3 images in any e-mail that includes multiple photos, then ditches the rest! So if sending through many many photos (in which case thankyou!) then send them in batches of three. Also, try to scrub out the automatic text that accompanies many exports where it says "you are about to include X attachments as exported from Picasa"

Thanks - by following these steps, we'll all be able to enjoy your photographic memories of Yellow Shirt events the world over!! Also it makes our job a lot easier as all we have to do is classify the photos in the appropriate event! But it can be of anything vaguely related to running - we have an 'allsorts' folder for every year, and we can create new folders as demand sees fit!!
